Additionally, the students' alertness and interest in this topic is usually minimal. The purpose of this study were to find teaching model that interest, achievements and personal satisfaction by applying the team-based learning (TBL).

Methods: Involved medical students were divided by stratified sampling into two groups. The first group, control group, received the non-TBL activities (N = 16), the second group received the TBL activities (N = 15). The outcome was then compared in terms of gained knowledge, practice results and overall satisfaction.

Results: The general characteristic among the two groups were not different. Although, the mean scores in the TBL trained group were higher than in the non-TBL group (72.69 ± 5.45 vs 66.51 ± 3.38). This difference was statistically significant (p<0.01). On average, the medical students undergoing TBL (3.74 ± 0.30) were more satisfied especially in terms of team working skills (4.23 ± 0.50), team unity (4.19 ± 0.66) and team contact (4.00 ± 0.63).

Conclusions: Teaching application of TBL topics in health systems management at the community hospital is a very powerful tool to increase achievements and personal satisfaction of medical students.
ER -
