Abstract

A review of the Calanthe group in Myanmar is presented, comprising the representatives of the genera Calanthe, Cephalantheropsis and Phaius. Currently there are 28 Calanthe species, 2 Cephalantheropsis species and 6 Phaius species known in the country. An identification key to the species, short descriptions as well as brief notes on distribution and ecology are given, and colour photographs of several species are also provided. Calanthe lamellosa Rolfe is newly reported for Myanmar.
