Abstract

As part of the taxonomic revision towards a treatment of the family Fagaceae for the Flora of Thailand, a preliminary account is provided with keys to the genera, species, subspecies and varieties,
full synonymy, notes on geographical and ecological distributions, vernacular names and uses. The account comprises 4 genera, 119 species, 2 subspecies and 2 varieties indigenous to Thailand.
