Abstract

A family of flowering plants about 60 genera. with atleast 13,000 species belonging to the tropics, is widely distributed in both hemispheres. Only two genera, Helicia (7 species) and Heliciopsis ( 1 species) arc found in Thailand vernacularly known as Muat Khon.
