Scopus accepted JFE for inclusion

We are pleased to announce that JFE has now been accepted for inclusion in the Scopus database. All aspects of the journal have been improved with helps, suggestions and supervision from the TCI-TRF-SCOPUS collaboration project.

Rename of Journal Title

Kasetsart University Fisheries Research Bulletin (KUFRB) was established in 1964 and it was renamed into Journal of Fisheries and Environment (JFE) in 2017. We continue to publish all research articles in English on all aspects of fisheries and aquatic environments.

Indexing of JFE

We are pleased to announce that JFE has been indexed into TCI and CABI since 2009, in ASEAN Citation Index (ACI) since 2015 and most recently JET in EBSCO in 2017. The quality of research published in JFE is confirmed by increasing number of citations, currently 46 found in the TCI from different institutions across the country, 62 found in the SCOPUS cited by authors from more than 30 different countries such as United State, Singapore, Japan, China and Indonesia.

Editor’s Note:

In line with Kasetsart University’s thrust to be an international research university, the Kasetsart University Fisheries Research Bulletin is changing its name to Journal of Fisheries and Environment in 2017. This is to reflect the wider scope and reach of the Bulletin’s readers as well as contributors/authors. For more than 50 years, the Bulletin has provided relevant scientific information on fisheries and aquaculture, and has added to the body of knowledge needed by the scientific community and civil society, within Thailand primarily, and recently in Southeast Asia and beyond. The new name of the journal will reflect the dynamism of our world, as we open up to a wider audience and expand our horizons for gaining new knowledge and experiences, and sharing them to the rest of the scientific world.
This issue (Volume 40, Issue 3) says goodbye to Kasetsart University Fisheries  Research Bulletin, and gives tribute to all who have been involved in one way or another in its journey through the years.

In 2017, we welcome Volume 41 with its new name of Journal of Fisheries and Environment.
