Abstract

บทคัดย่อ

ผู้ป่วยเด็กโรคมะเร็งไทรอยด์มักประสพกับภาวะเครียดและวิตกกังวลในการดูแลตนเองตั้งแต่เมื่อทราบว่าเป็นโรคร้ายที่ต้องรับการรักษาและติดตามตลอดชีวิต ทำให้ความสามารถในการดูแลตนเองลดลง ส่งผลกระทบถึงผลการรักษาในระยะยาว การที่มีทีมบุคลากรสุขภาพที่มีความเชี่ยวชาญเฉพาะร่วมกันดูแลผู้ป่วยกลุ่มนี้จะส่งผลให้สามารถดูแลผู้ป่วยแบบองค์รวม ทำให้ได้ผลการรักษาที่ดี และช่วยเพิ่มคุณภาพชีวิตของผู้ป่วย พยาบาลวิชาชีพที่ร่วมดูแลผู้ป่วยมักมีความใกล้ชิดและมีสัมพันธภาพที่ดีกับผู้ป่วย จึงมีบทบาทสำคัญในการให้ข้อมูลแก่ผู้ป่วยและผู้ปกครองให้มีความเข้าใจ มั่นใจและมีส่วนร่วมในการดูแลรักษาตนเอง การให้ข้อมูลนี้ควรทำให้สอดคล้องกับขั้นตอนต่าง ๆของการรักษาและการตรวจติดตามเพื่อให้เกิดประโยชน์สูงสุด

 

Abstract

Pediatric thyroid cancer patients usually encounter with stress and anxiety in their own self-care since being diagnosed with cancer that needs lifelong treatment and follow-up.   This results in poor compliance to treatment and affects long-term outcome.  Multidisciplinary specialized health care team for this group of patients should provide holistic care and improve treatment outcome and quality of life.  Registered nurses, as a part of the team, normally have a good relationship with the patients and their parents and play a significant role in providing information to the patients and their parents to gain understanding, self-confidence and participating in taking care of themselves.  For the highest benefits, this information providing process should be done in accordance with appropriate treatment and follow-up processes.
