Abstract

At present, opisthorchiasis-associated cholangiocarcinomais still a serious public health problem in northeastThailand. We are presenting the conceptual frameworkof health policy and strategies in order to administer andmanage the problem systematically and effectively. Theyinclude the new paradigm in establishing the screeningand surveillance program for the risk group, buildingup a collaborative network among health professionals.Furthermore, in-depth research that is focused on attackingproblems directly is also needed, and we introducepractical ways to implement those policy and strategies.
