Abstract

Uterine cervix is one of the most axxessable organs of the female genital tract. Most of our knowledge, concerning the early detection of precancerous ledions (CIN) and early cervical is based on cytology (PAP –smear), colposcopy and cervical conization. Most clinical and laboratory investigations have concluded that cervical dysplasia or CIN could progressed to be carcinoma in situ (CIS) and invasive cervical cancer. Early management for early cervical lesions must be considered to prevent morbidity and mortality which are frequently occurred in the management of invasive cervical cancer. Local destructive therapy which is composed of electric cauterization, electric coagulation, cryosurgery, laser therapy and local applications of chemotherapy is more concerning in Thailand. By our experience in Siriraj Hospital, we suggest to treat CIN III or with either conization or simple hysterectomy.
