The Thai common names and the botanical names of 144 herbal medicines used as diuretic and/or for kidney stone treatment have been given in this article including the parts used, the methods of preparation, as well as the illustration of some plants. Not all of these plants up till 1983 have been studied about their chemical constituents in Thailand, seven of them have never been reported vefore. However, most of them have been reported on scientific research about the diuretic activeties only a little.
