Abstract

Scintigraphy of the lungs is a unique method using radionuclides that provides quantitative regional information on pulmonary ventilation, perfusion volume and gas diffusion. The principle use of pulmonary scintigraphy is for the assessment of regional lung function and diagnisis of other disorders.
