Community participation about The Youth Mental Health

Abstract

The objectives of this research are to study the participation of the community in the promotion the youth’s Mental Health with the hypothesis that the participation of the community in the youth’s Mental health are significantly related to the population’s knowledge, attitude and behavior.

The population for this research were the people who cultivate the youth who were 15-20 years old in Ban Nongmex,  Undornthani Province, in Ban Yang, Nakhonrajasima Province and Ban Dangyai , Khonkaea Province. A total number of 300 ruturned responded questionaires were processed for analysis. Chi-square test contingency coefficient and regression analysis were used in testing Hypothesis.

The study showed that the participation of the community in the youth’s mental health were significantly related to the population’s knowledge, attitude and behavior. Knowledge was significantly related to attitude ,attitude was significantly related to behavior. The established relationships among community participation about the youth mental health, knowledge ,attitude and behavior confirmed the hypothesis. In addition , it was discovered that marital status, occupation and income did correlate in ascendent order to community participation in the youth’s mental health.
