Evaluation of using and distribution of Oral Rehydration Salt in Chaiyaphoom Province, 1990

Abstract

The survey of using and distribution of Oral Rehydration Salt was performed in Chaiyaphoom Province in June 1990 by 30 clusters sampling technic, showed : the diarrhoeal morbidity rate, during 2 weeks before the survey was 59.58/1,000 populations.  Children with diarrhoeal were treated with Oral Rehydration Salt, drug therapy, and the others were 37.06% , 46.94% and 4.81% respectively.  This children were obtained Oral Rehydration Salt from Health Center 35.85%, Community Hospital 30.19%, General Hospital 3.77%, Public Health Volunteer 5.66% and the others 24.53%, respectivly.
