Abstract

Background and objective : Queen Sirikit Heart Center of the Northeast, Khon Kaen University is an  organization that used system of outsource hiring for operational security. The study of  implementation made aware of operational conditions and problems to find the way solving these problems for more efficiency management. This study was objected to study security management conditions and to compare  security guards hiring of  Queen Sirikit Heart Center of the Northeast , Khon Kaen University.

Methods: Two groups of population were used in this study; 742 personnels of the Queen Sirikit Heart Center of  the Northeast and 23 outsource security guards which  sample sizing got 234 samples from the Queen Sirikit Heart Center and all persons of outsource security guards. Collecting the data used open-ended questionnaire in conjunction with SWOT Analysis. The analysis for cause of the problems used Fishbone Chart. Data collecting period was during March to June 2013. Analysis, conclusion and presentation used descriptive statistics.

Results:  It was found that personnels of Queen Sirikit Heart Center commented that  the management level has to be improved. It was lack of systematic procedure and unclear services that  affected the lacking of discipline security guards.  There was no security policy information announcement to all personnels. The outsource security guards had comments that they got security management policy from their chief and systematic orderly implemented  already,  their services and management was in good  level and had been improved the defects to be better.

Conclusion:  Personnels of Queen Sirikit Heart Center wanted direct hiring of security guards. In the future, Queen Sirikit Heart Center of the Northeast  should get direct hiring of security guards to be their own personnel. If they use outsource hiring for operational security, they should have   more efficiency systems of evaluating, directing and  monitoring.
