Abstract

Health education is an essential component for health promotion and prevention of disease, especially in non-communicable diseases. The aim of health education is to encourage people to change behavior to be healthier. Health care providers should know and understand the fundamentals of health education, related theories, and development of using technology in health education. Then, they will have an ability to provide health education in an area of services to promote health in the population.
