Abstract

Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a multisystem autoimmune disease that has broad pulmonary manifestations. Acute lupus pneumonitis is one of its rare and mortal complications. Herein, we report a 17-year-old woman with acute lupus pneumonitis as an initial presentation of SLE. Her clinical, biological and radiological improvements were noticed after receiving pulse methylprednisolone.
