Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Thai Journal of Genetics is published by the Genetics Society of Thailand.


Thai Journal of Genetics is listed in Thai-Journal Citation Index Center (TCI: and was evaluated the impact factor in 2012 = 0.167.


The Journal considers contributions that present the results of original research in genetics, biochemistry, molecular biology and related scientific disciplines.


Although Thai Journal of Genetics is an official publication of the Genetics Society of Thailand, contributors are not required to be members of the Society.


It is a fundamental condition that submitted manuscripts have not been and will not be published elsewhere.


Categories of Contribution: Research Articles and Review Articles


Manuscripts considered in conformity with the scope of the journal, judged by the Editor in conjunction with the Editorial Board, are reviewed by the Associate Editors and two or more external reviewers. Acceptance by the Editor is based on the quality of the work as substantial contribution to the field and on the overall presentation of the manuscript.


Thai Journal of Genetics follows an Open-Access policy. Articles are made available in full content at Back issues dating to 2008 are available through this site.


The official abbreviation for Thai Journal of Genetics is Thai J. Genet.


How to submit:


1. Manuscripts must be submitted by the Corresponding Author who will correspond/communicate with Editor for revision during the editorial process. Registration for submission is available at


2. The cover letter should be addressed to: Arinthip Thamchaipenet, Editor-in-Chief, Thai Journal of Genetics. It must be stated by the corresponding author that the data have not been published and are not under consideration elsewhere, and that all authors have approved the submission of the manuscript. The names of all co-authors, including institutional affiliations and e-mail addresses must be included. Furthermore, up to three reviewer names can be suggested with valid contact e-mail addresses.
