A Comparison of Learning Achievement on Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Systems between Special Work Enrichment Method and Normal Learning Method.

This research compares learning achievements made using special work enrichment methods and normal learning methods. The samples were two groups of third year undergraduates in the Industrial Arts program, enrolled on a Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems 1 course in the second term of the 2005 academic year. The samples were divided into an experiment group and a control group. All samples were given a pre-test in the fIrst week and were instructed according to the course syllabus and teaching plans, including both theoretical and practical work, from the 2^nd to the 14^th week of term. The experiment group was given experience enrichment work while the control group was ·not. The post-test was given to both groups in the 15^thweek. Achievement scores of these two groups were compared by t-test analysis to look for significant differences.

The results of this research were 1) The learning achievement of these two groups was increased.( = 0.01) 2) No statistic signifIcant difference was found between the experiment group and the control group. However, this research found that the special enrichment group performed better than the control group with regard to working proficiency and problem solving.
