Abstract

Knee osteoarthritis (OA knee) is the most common chronic arthritis. The incidence of OA knee trend to increase in the world and Thailand. It was related to many factors such as gender, age, body type, occupation, and work behavior. OA knee causes to joint pain, stiffness, muscle weakness and lead to disability. Currently, first guidelines recommended for the management of OA knee is exercise. Hydrotherapy is an alternative exercise to achieve rehabilitation for OA knee. Hydrotherapy exercise consists of warm up, exercise and cool down phase. Water properties include buoyancy, viscosity, water pressure and the effect of water temperature help reduce pain, increase range of motion, reduces stress and anxiety and help improve the quality of life
