Development of Information System for Specialized Physician Consultation : One Click One Specialist, Kalasin Province

Abstract

Background and Objective: Comprehensive emergency medical service system, emphasizing development by using information technology The purpose of this study was to study the situation and guidelines for the development of the information system for specialized physician consultation, develop information systems, apply and study the results and evaluation of the developed information systems.

Methods: Implementation of the conceptual framework of system development life cycle: SDLC. The research and development process consists 4 stages: the preparedness, the system development and try out, implementation and study the results and evaluate the efficiency. The samples consisted of 80 user by Krejcie & Morgan formula for sample size calculation, random sampling by lottery method. The research instruments consist of information system for specialized physician consultation, result record form,  satisfaction survey form and efficiency evaluation form.

Results: The information system consisted 1) physician's schedule using Google sheet and 2) automatic syncing of Physician 's information to LINE group. reducing the time to contact a physician 10.5 minutes/time, reducing telephone charges average of 21,240 baht/month, without disclosure personal information. The overall mean score of satisfaction was at a high level. ( mean= 4.36, SD = .82) The overall mean score of efficiency was at a highest level. ( mean= 4.52, SD = .98)

Conclusions: The developed information system was efficient; reduce time and procedures, reduce costs and the risk of personal information disclosure.
