ตานปุระบำบัด : บำบัดทางเลือกเพื่อการดูแลผู้ป่วยระยะสุดท้าย

ดนตรีบำบัด เป็นศาสตร์วิชาที่ได้ถูกนำมาใช้ในการดูแลผู้ป่วยระยะสุดท้ายตั้งแต่ปี ค.ศ. 1970 และในปัจจุบันได้รับการยอมรับให้นำมาใช้ในการดูแลผู้ป่วยระยะสุดท้ายอย่างกว้างขวางในนานาประเทศ Body Tanpura เป็นเครื่องดนตรีที่ถูกดัดแปลงมาจากตานปุระ เครื่องดนตรีโบราณของอินเดีย โดยพัฒนาขึ้นจากความประสงค์ของนักดนตรีบำบัดชาวเยอรมันที่ต้องการดัดแปลงรูปร่างและขนาดของเครื่องดนตรีให้เหมาะสมกับการนำมาใช้ดูแลผู้ป่วยอาการโคม่าที่นอนติดเตียง และได้นำมาทดลองใช้กับกลุ่มผู้ป่วยระยะสุดท้าย
ผลจากการศึกษาการนำ Body Tanpura ไปใช้ในการบำบัดในกลุ่มผู้ป่วยระยะสุดท้าย แสดงให้เห็นถึงผลในเชิงบวกต่อสุขภาพร่างกายและจิตใจของผู้ป่วย ทำให้ผู้ป่วยรู้สึกผ่อนคลาย สงบ ช่วยกระตุ้นการไหลเวียนของโลหิตได้ดีขึ้น ช่วยเสริมอารมณ์และความคิดในเชิงบวก สามารถลดความตึงเครียด ความซึมเศร้า สร้างกำลังใจในการดำรงชีวิตและเสริมสร้างปฏิสัมพันธ์ต่อผู้อื่นได้
ประสิทธิผลของ Body Tanpura ทำให้เครื่องดนตรีดังกล่าวเป็นทางเลือกใหม่ที่น่าสนใจ สำหรับนักดนตรีบำบัดทั่วโลก ซึ่งแนวคิดในการดัดแปลงเครื่องดนตรีสามารถเป็นแรงบันดาลใจให้แก่นักดนตรีบำบัดของไทยหรือผู้ที่สนใจ โดยอาจนำเอาเครื่องดนตรีของไทยมาดัดแปลงหรือประยุกต์ให้เหมาะสมต่อการบำบัดผู้ป่วย เพื่อเป็นอีกหนึ่งทางเลือกที่ใช้ในการบำบัดและเป็นการต่อยอดองค์ความรู้ในศาสตร์ทางด้านดนตรีบำบัดให้กว้างขวางต่อไปในอนาคต
