ผลของการใช้โปรแกรมการให้คำปรึกษาและตรวจเยี่ยมผู้สูงอายุที่มีภาวะเสี่ยงสูงต่อการเกิดภาวะสมองเสื่อม อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดกาฬสินธุ์

หลักการและวัตถุประสงค์: การศึกษาครั้งนี้มีต้นแบบจากการออกเยี่ยมบ้านของทีมเวชกรรมสังคมโรงพยาบาลกาฬสินธุ์ พบว่า จำนวนผู้สูงอายุในชุมชนที่เริ่มมีภาวะสมองเสื่อมมีจำนวนเพิ่มมากขึ้น เป็นผลให้ทีมเยี่ยมตรวจจึงได้จัดทำโปรแกรมการให้คำปรึกษาและตรวจเยี่ยมผู้สูงอายุที่มีภาวะเสี่ยงสูงต่อการเกิดภาวะสมองเสื่อม การศึกษาครั้งนี้มุ่งศึกษาผลของการใช้โปรแกรมการให้คำปรึกษาและตรวจเยี่ยมผู้สูงอายุที่มีภาวะเสี่ยงสูงต่อการเกิดภาวะสมองเสื่อม และเปรียบเทียบผล
ผลการศึกษา: คะแนนเฉลี่ยของการเกิดภาวะสมองเสื่อมและสมรรถภาพสมองเบื้องต้นระหว่างกลุ่มที่ใช้โปรแกรมฯกับกลุ่มควบคุมแตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .01 สำหรับความพึงพอใจ ความสามารถในการปฏิบัติกิจวัตรประจำวัน ความต้องการการดูแลแบบประคับประคอง และภาวะซึมเศร้าของทั้งสองกลุ่มค่าคะแนนเฉลี่ยมีความแตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 ผลการประเมินความเสี่ยงต่อการผลัดตกหกล้มพบว่า ทั้งสองกลุ่มมีค่าคะแนนเฉลี่ยไม่แตกต่างกัน
สรุป: คะแนนเฉลี่ยการเกิดสมองเสื่อม สมรรถภาพสมอง ความพึงพอใจ ความสามารถปฏิบัติกิจวัตรประจำวัน ความต้องการการดูแล และภาวะซึมเศร้าในกลุ่มที่ใช้โปรแกรมฯ แตกต่างจากกลุ่มควบคุม
