Age Span of Human papilloma virus-infected (HPV) Women and the Accuracy of HPV Diagnosis from Pap Smear

บทคัดย่อ

Objective: To study age span of HPV-infected women and to analyze the validity of HPV infection by Pap smear.

Methods: Pap smear of 27,129 women were retrospective study 5 years at Thammasat University Hospital. Data from Pap smear diagnosis was analyzed  the age span of HPV-infected women, abnormal cervix and was analyzed accuracy, sensitivity, specificity, PPV and NPV.

Results: The most frequency of age span from 20 to 29 years of  HPV-infected women were 34.6%. In 62.7% of CINI were the most associated lesions with HPV-infected women. The accuracy, sensitivity, specificity, PPV, NPV of  the diagnosis of HPV infection by Pap smear were 42.5%, 65.9%, 72.6%, 60.7 %, 76.8%, respectively.

Conclusions: Age span of HPV-infected women was 20 to 29 years. The diagnosis of HPV infection by Pap smear  was moderate accuracy, moderate sensitivity but high specificity.
