Developing a Set of Videos to Promote College of Hospitality and Tourism, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya, Trang Campus

This research aimed to 1) develop a set of videos to promote College of Hospitality and Tourism, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya, Trang Campus to meet highlevel of quality; 2) investigate the effectiveness index (E.I.) of the videos; 3) compare participants’ knowledge of College of Hospitality and Tourism before and after watching the videos; and 4) investigate participants’ satisfactions toward the videos. The participants were 380 Mathayom 6 and High Vocational Certificate students in academic year 2017 from Trang and Krabi provinces; and, 30 of teachers, administrators, and educational staff from Thai basic education and higher education institutions. The research instruments used were set of videos to promote College of Hospitality and Tourism, the evaluation form of videos’ quality, the knowledge test, and, the satisfaction questionnaire. The obtained data were analyzed by mean, standard deviation, effectiveness index (E.I.), and t-test dependent (comparing knowledge before and after watching the video). The results revealed that 1) the developed videos met the highest level of quality, 2) the effectiveness index (E.I.) of videos was 0.5, 3) the participants’ knowledge after watching the videos was higher than before watching the videos at the significant level of .05, and 4) the participants’ satisfactions toward the video were at a high level (= 4.39 and 4.17).
