Abstract
This research studies the process of developing wheelchairs according to the reverse engineering methodology, which consists of 6 steps, which are 1) studying the condition of prototype technology, 2) analyzing the structure of the technology in question, 3) designing And simulate work Computerized design (CAD) 4) Analyze results comparing new technology with previous technology 5) Plan prototype production processes 6) Use trials with sample groups and evaluate satisfaction by experimenting with disabled wheelchair users that have been Diagnosed from 50 doctors, has developed a set of wheel hub with a diameter of 140 mm. The wheel hub consists of a planetary gear set that helps to the force reduction The result of the research shows that the standard wheelchair has not been tested. Is the use by using wheelchair force of the disabled The results of the development of the Central Planetary Wheel Wheelchair Hub set based on reverse engineering Comparison of standard wheelchairs and manual wheelchairs By comparing wheelchair weight, measured by wheelchair users, it is found that Reinforced wheelchair wheels for lighter weight The planetary gear helps lighten the transmission ratio. In wheelchairs up the slope, disabled people use less force than standard wheelchairs. In wheelchairs down the ramp, disabled people control the flow down. Of wheelchairs easier than standard wheelchairs
