Thailand Earth Observation Satellite and Plant Research

Abstract

 Thailand earth observation satellite and plant research, THEOS, the first earth observationsatellite of Thailand programme was set up for design, development, and operation.  It will have a design life of 5 years and will be launched in early 2008.  The THEOS will provide imagery in thevisible (red, green, blue) and near infrared region of the electromagnetic spectrum, 4 multispectral resolution 15 m, image swath 90 km and panchromatic resolution 2 m, image swath 22 km.  THEOS images will be useful inagrucultural research appropriated withclassificationof type of crop, stage of growth crop vigour, thenpreparationshould be made for such an opportunity.
