Abstract

The studies on the rates and application of tank mixture of pretilachlor and cinosulfuron in pregerminated direct seeded rice were conducted in a farmer field in Bangken district, Nakorn Pathom province during the fry season of 1991. The herbicides were applied at 4, 6 and 8 days after seeding (DAS). The mixture of pretilachlor and cinosulfuron gave better weed control than that of the single treatment. Pretilachlor at a rate of 64 g ai/rai gave better control when applied at 4 DAS and was less effective at 6 and 8 DAS. The efficacy of these herbicides was increased with higher rate of application. Slight phytotoxicity to rice was observed at 10 DAS but plants recovered within 30 days after application.
