Abstract

The uses of sole carbofuran at 20 kg./rai, sole fertilizer formular 15-15-15 at 100 kg./rai, and combinations of carbofuran at 20 kg./rai with 25, 50, 75, and 100 kg./rai of the same fertilizer were compared to fine out whether the use of the fertilizer could be reduced from the rate of 100 kg./rai. The study was made on sugar cane variety F 140 at Kanchanaburi province. The results showed that an application of carbofuran at the rate of 20 kg./rai without fertilizer gave good control of shoot bofers and gave the highest marginal return. Carbofuran at 20 kg. rai applied with fertilizer an 50 kg. rai gave better result than the other combinations, thus indicated tha twhere the land is still fertile and there is an application of carbofuran to control shoot borers, the amount of fertilizer applied could be reduced by one-half.
