Abstract

The bumblebee catfish, Leiocassis poecilopterus (Valenciennes, 1840) (Teleostei: Bagridae) is firstly known from Thailand at Bala-Hala Wildlife Sanctuary, Narathiwat Province. This species is distinguished by elongated snout, inferior mouth and slender caudal peduncle. Observations of some biology are provided.
