Twenty-three species and two varieties are enumerated, including seven endemic taxa: P. annulata, P. garrettii, P. interrupta var. smitinandii, P. paniculata, P. repens, P. serrata and P. siamensis. The former species P. dubia, P. amplectans & P. macrophylla var. glaberrima, P. macrophylla var. thailandica and P. quadridentata are reduced to the synonyms of P. collinsiae, P. herbacea, P. nana and P. trichostoma, respectively.
