Abstract

Gammarid amphipods were collected from along the east coast of Libong Island, Trang Province, Thailand, where large patches of seagrass beds can be found, during October 2003 to August 2005. Seven species from six families were recorded, namely: Ampelisca cyclops, A. miharaensis, Eriopisella sechellensis, Kamaka sp. A, Perioculodes longimanus, Syncheldium sp. A and Urothoe spinidigitus. Their characters are described and illustrated. All specimens are deposited at the Reference Collection, Phuket Marine Biological Center, Thailand.
