Invention of Soil Texture Classes Instructional Media

This research aims to build a model of soil texture for use as instructional media for Ceramics Technology students. The process was divided into 4 parts. The first part involved the construction of a model from transparent plastic plate, followed by the milling of yellow clay from Lampang Rajabhat University. After milling, yellow clay powders were sieved through 18, 60, 140 and 240 sized meshes. The yellow clay powers were then assembled into a model. Finally, two studies were conducted. The first study examined the physical composition of yellow clay, which was found to include coarse, medium, fine and superfine sand, and silt-soil. The second study examined the level of student satisfaction with the model as an instructional media. The result showed that 36.84 - 57.89 percent of students were highly satisfied with the use ofthe model as an instructional media and 57.89 - 63.16 percent of the students were highly satisfied with the instructional media as a supplement to enhancing their academic knowledge.
