The purpose of this research was to study the competency of Nakornratchasima Rajabhat University risk management committee, to study the results of risk management undertaken by Nakornratchasima Rajabhat Ur.iversity committee and to study the relationship between the expected competency of the risk management committee and the risk management results. Questionnaires were used to collect data. The samples were 157 members of Nakornratchasima Rajabhat University committee. The obtained data were processed by statistical software and analyzed by means of frequency, percentage, arithmetic mean and standard deviation. A comparison between mean, t-test and f-test/ANOVA was analyzed. The significance of Pearson's product movement correlation coefficient and the least significant different method were also determined. The independent variables were divided into (1) demographic characteristics such as gender, educational background, current job position and work experience, (2) seven expected competencies, including team work and cooperative competency, communication competency, change management competency, problem solving and decision-making competency, analytical and planning competency, management competency and leadership competency. The dependent variables were the results of risk management.

The research revealed that:

1. The majority of respondents were female. Most respondents had a master's degree and were employed as lecturers with 16-20 years of experience. Most of the committee members had only a little management training and had been committee members for 1-2 years.

2. It was found that the risk management committee should have all seven expected competencies at a high level. Analytical and planning competency was ranked as the most important, followed by team work and corporative competency, while communication competency was ranked the least important.

3. It was found that team work and cooperative competency and leadership competency had a positive relation with the results of risk management.
