Abstract

The objective of this study was to determine the appropriate route for stering waste of Khao Sam Yod Municipality. Data Collected by global positioning system (GPS) for survey and tracking solid waste collection trucks in each truck and use Network Analysis in ArcGIS 10.2 to analyze the appropriate route for solid waste collection.
          The results showed that the municipality of Khao Sam Yod has a total of 5 solid waste trucks 4 types consisting of 1) Type 6 wheels rear loaders small size (volume of 9m3). 2) Type 6 wheels rear loaders size medium (volume of 10m3) 2 cars. 3) Type 6 wheels rear loaders big size (volume of 15m3). 4) Type 4 wheels side loaders (volume of 3m3). Each vehicle is responsible for 3 routes, a total of 15 routes. It was found that the appropriate route for collecting solid waste was reduced of 17.3 kilometers. And take a new route with a distance of 8.6 kilometers. Total distance reduced by 8.7 kilometers and fuel cost reduction of 131.84 baht / month.
