การศึกษาปัจจัยที่มีผลต่อการตัดสินใจเข้าศึกษาแพทย์เฉพาะทางสาขากุมารเวชศาสตร์ คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น ปีการศึกษา 2561–2565 เพื่อศึกษาปัจจัยที่มีผลต่อการตัดสินใจเข้าศึกษาแพทย์เฉพาะทางสาขากุมารเวชศาสตร์ คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น และ เพื่อศึกษาปัญหา อุปสรรค และข้อเสนอแนะเกี่ยวกับการตัดสินใจเลือกเรียนแพทย์เฉพาะทางสาขากุมารเวชศาสตร์ รูปแบบการวิจัยเป็นการศึกษาเชิงสำรวจ
กลุ่มตัวอย่าง ได้แก่ กุมารแพทย์ที่ตัดสินใจเข้าศึกษาต่อแพทย์เฉพาะทางสาขากุมารเวชศาสตร์ คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น วิธีดำเนินการวิจัยเป็นการศึกษาเชิงพรรณนา โดยเก็บข้อมูลแพทย์ที่ตัดสินใจเลือกเรียนสาขาวิชากุมารเวชศาสตร์ คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น ประจำปีการศึกษา พ.ศ.2561-2565 เครื่องมือที่ใช้คือ แบบสอบถามออนไลน์ผ่านกูเกิ้ลฟอร์ม (google form) ผลการวิจัย พบว่า ผู้ตอบแบบสอบถามทั้งหมด 51 คน เป็นเพศชาย ร้อยละ 29.41 สำเร็จการศึกษาจากมหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น ร้อยละ 78.43 มีเกรดเฉลี่ยสะสมจากการจบแพทยศาสตรบัณฑิต 3.51-4.00 ร้อยละ 58.82 ปัจจัยส่วนตัวที่มีผลต่อการตัดสินใจเลือกเข้าศึกษาในสาขาวิชากุมารเวชศาสตร์ มากที่สุด 2 อันดับ ได้แก่ ปัจจัยที่สาขาวิชากุมารเวชศาสตร์ คณะแพทยศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น ได้รับการจัดเป็นอันดับที่หนึ่งในภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือ ร้อยละ 52.94 และปัจจัยรองลงมา คือ ปัจจัยด้านสาขาวิชากุมารเวชศาสตร์ที่สามารถเพิ่มพูนความรู้ เพื่อเป็นแนวทางในการศึกษาในระดับสูงขึ้นได้ ร้อยละ 50.98 สำหรับปัจจัยบิดา มารดา ผู้ปกครองและบุคคลอื่นที่มีผลต่อการตัดสินใจเข้าศึกษาต่อมากที่สุด 2 อันดับ ได้แก่ เห็นความสำเร็จในการประกอบอาชีพของผู้ที่เคยสำเร็จจากสาขาวิชากุมารเวชศาสตร์ขอนแก่น ร้อยละ 49.02 และมั่นใจว่าเมื่อสำเร็จการศึกษาแล้วมีงานที่ดีขึ้น ร้อยละ 47.06 สำหรับปัจจัยด้านต่าง ๆ ที่มีผลต่อการตัดสินใจเข้าศึกษามากที่สุด 2 อันดับ ได้แก่ มีผู้ป่วยให้ฝึกปฏิบัติและเรียนรู้ได้จริง ร้อยละ 56.89 และค่าธรรมเนียมการศึกษามีความเหมาะสม ร้อยละ 49.02 ปัญหาและอุปสรรคสำคัญ ได้แก่ ข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับหลักสูตรที่ไม่ชัดเจน ความไม่ชัดเจนของข้อมูลหลักสูตร ความยากลำบากในการสืบค้นข้อมูลการสมัคร และเว็บไซต์ที่ไม่ได้ให้ข้อมูลรายละเอียดที่เพียงพอ

ABSTRACT
Objectives: This study aimed to investigate the factors influencing decision-making to pursue pediatric residency training at the Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University (KKU), during the academic years 2018–2022, and to explore the associated challenges, obstacles, and recommendations regarding this career path.
Methods: A descriptive cross-sectional survey was conducted. The sample consisted of pediatric residents who decided to enroll in the pediatric residency program at the Faculty of Medicine, KKU, during the academic years 2018–2022. Data were collected using an online questionnaire via Google Forms.
Results: Out of the eligible sample, 51 respondents participated in the study. Of these, 29.41% were male, 78.43% graduated from Khon Kaen University, and 58.82% graduated with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) between 3.51 and 4.00. Regarding personal factors, the top two factors influencing the decision to enroll were the program's reputation as the top-ranked pediatric training center in northeastern Thailand (52.94%), followed by its potential for knowledge enhancement, serving as a pathway to advanced studies (50.98%). Regarding parental, guardian, and external influences, the most significant factors were witnessing the career success of KKU pediatric alumni (49.02%) and the assurance of enhanced career prospects post-graduation (47.06%). For institutional factors, the top two determinants were the abundance of clinical cases for hands-on practice and real-world learning (56.89%), and the appropriateness of tuition fees (49.02%). Key challenges and obstacles identified included unclear curriculum details, difficulties in searching for application guidelines, and insufficient information on the official website.
Conclusion: The decision to pursue pediatric residency training at Khon Kaen University is primarily driven by institutional quality, opportunities for advanced academic progression, and the visible career success of alumni. However, improvements in public relations and information dissemination are highly recommended to provide comprehensive and accessible details for prospective applicants.
