Abstract

บทคัดย่อ
           การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อวิเคราะห์ผลงานตีพิมพ์ระดับนานาชาติของอาจารย์มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่นในฐานข้อมูล Scopus ตามดัชนีคุณภาพระดับควอร์ไทล์ 1 (Q1) ระหว่างปี พ.ศ. 2562–2567 และเพื่อศึกษาแนวทางการสนับสนุนการตีพิมพ์ระดับนานาชาติของสำนักหอสมุด มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น เป็นการวิจัยเชิงปริมาณโดยใช้วิธีการวิเคราะห์บรรณมิติ (Bibliometrics) (สืบค้น ณ วันที่ 30 กรกฎาคม 2568) กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการศึกษาคือ ผลงานตีพิมพ์ประเภทบทความ (Article) ในวารสารวิชาการระดับ Q1 จำนวน 5,694 รายการ วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลด้วยสถิติเชิงพรรณนา
ผลการศึกษาพบว่า มีผลงานตีพิมพ์ระดับ Q1 รวมทั้งสิ้น 5,694 เรื่อง โดยมีแนวโน้มการเติบโตอย่างต่อเนื่อง ปีที่มีจำนวนผลงานสูงสุดคือ พ.ศ. 2565 (1,260 เรื่อง) สาขาวิชาที่มีการตีพิมพ์มากที่สุดคือ การแพทย์ (Medicine) รองลงมาคือ เกษตรศาสตร์และชีววิทยา และชีวเคมี พันธุศาสตร์ และชีววิทยาโมเลกุล ตามลำดับ เมื่อจำแนกตามหน่วยงานพบว่า กลุ่มสาขาวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยีมีสัดส่วนการตีพิมพ์สูงสุด (ร้อยละ 50.06) โดยคณะวิทยาศาสตร์และคณะแพทยศาสตร์เป็นหน่วยงานที่มีผลงานโดดเด่นที่สุด วารสารที่นิยมตีพิมพ์สูงสุดคือ Scientific Reports ผลงานร้อยละ 86.55 ได้รับการอ้างอิง รวมจำนวนการถูกอ้างอิงทั้งสิ้น 81,402 ครั้ง โดยปี พ.ศ. 2563 มีจำนวนครั้งที่ถูกอ้างอิงสูงสุด ด้านความร่วมมือทางการวิจัย พบว่ามีความร่วมมือกับสหรัฐอเมริกามากที่สุดในระดับนานาชาติ และมหาวิทยาลัยมหิดลในระดับประเทศ
ผลการวิจัยนำไปสู่แนวทางการสนับสนุนของสำนักหอสมุด โดยควรมุ่งเน้นบทบาทการเป็นหุ้นส่วนสนับสนุนการวิจัย (Research Support Partner) ได้แก่ 1) การบริหารจัดการค่าธรรมเนียมการตีพิมพ์ (APC) ผ่านข้อตกลงกับสำนักพิมพ์ (Transformative Agreements) เพื่อรองรับวารสาร Open Access 2) การจัดบริการเชิงรุกเพื่อส่งเสริมศักยภาพการตีพิมพ์ในกลุ่มมนุษยศาสตร์และสังคมศาสตร์เพื่อลดช่องว่างระหว่างสาขาวิชา และ
3) การใช้ข้อมูลบรรณมิติเพื่อสนับสนุนการหาเครือข่ายความร่วมมือวิจัยทั้งในและต่างประเทศ อย่างไรก็ตาม การศึกษานี้มีข้อจำกัดโดยพิจารณาเฉพาะข้อมูลผลงานที่ปรากฏในฐานข้อมูล Scopus เท่านั้น

Abstract
           This research conducted a bibliometric analysis to evaluate the international publication output of Khon Kaen University (KKU) faculty, specifically focusing on articles indexed in quartile 1 (Q1) Scopus journals between 2019 and 2024. The study also sought to establish actionable guidelines for the KKU Library to enhance its support for international publications. A quantitative research design was employed, utilizing bibliometric methods to analyze a dataset comprising 5,694 Q1 journal articles. Descriptive statistics were applied for data analysis.
           Khon Kaen University generated 5,694 Q1 publications, exhibiting a trend of continuous growth, peaking in 2022 with 1,260 articles. Research output was most concentrated in Medicine, followed by Agricultural and Biological Sciences, and Biochemistry, Genetics, and Molecular Biology. The Science and Technology cluster accounted for the highest proportion of publications (50.06%), with the Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Medicine emerging as the most prominent units. The journal Scientific Reports was the most frequently used outlet for publication. Overall, 86.55% of the works received citations, amounting to a total of 81,402 citations, with the year 2020 recording the highest citation count. Analysis of research cooperation indicated the highest level of international collaboration with the United States and the strongest domestic collaboration with Mahidol University.
           Based on these findings, the research proposed guidelines for the KKU Library to strengthen its role as a Research Support Partner. These recommendations include: 1) implementing management of Article Processing Charges (APC) through Transformative Agreements to support Open Access journals; 2) developing proactive services to foster publication potential within the Humanities and Social Sciences to bridge disciplinary disparities; and 3) utilizing bibliometric data to aid in identifying research collaboration networks both domestically and internationally. This study’s findings are limited to the publication data available exclusively within the Scopus database.
