Abstract

The objectives of this research were to design and develop of information system for instructional management via web application. The system was evaluated the performance by 5 experts and the satisfaction by 20 users, students who registered in database system course. The development of information system was applied by the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) consisting of 7 main steps: Definition of problem, Analysis, Designing, Development, Testing, Implementation and Maintenance. The design of web application included MySQL database system to store information of each users’ group. For the analysis, Context Diagram and Data Flow Diagram (DFD) Level0 were selected to analyze data while Use Case Diagram was selected to use in the design section. The tools used in this research were web application, verified by experts, and satisfaction survey form for users. The findings showed that the overall performance of web application was at a good level (X= 4.16, S.D. = 0.57), and the satisfaction of users was at a high level (X= 4.30, S.D. = 0.47).
