The Effect of Giving Planned-Education on Perceived Efficacy and Caring Nutrition Behavior among Caregivers of Preschool-Malnourished Children in Yala Municipality

Abstract

The study was one group pretest and posttest research. The aim of this study was to compare knowledge, perceived efficacy and caring nutrition behavior before and after giving planned-education. The participants were 26 preschool-malnourished children caregivers in Yala Municipality. The data was collected two times; before and after a week of intervention. The research instruments consisted of knowledge questionnaire and perceived efficacy and caring nutrition behavior questionnaire. The demographic data was analyzed using frequencies and percentages whilst dependent t-test was used to compare the result of knowledge and perceived efficacy and caring nutrition behavior. The results revealed that the mean score of knowledge and perceived efficacy and caring nutrition behavior after intervention was significantly higher than before intervention with statistical significance (p < 0.05).
