Instructions for Authors
Journal scope
Journal of Basic and Applied Pharmacology is a peer-reviewed journal publishing original research articles, reviews, letters to editors and commentaries on pharmacology and related fields, i.e. pharmacodynamics, pharmacokinetics, pharmacotherapeutics, toxicology, clinical pharmacology, molecular pharmacology, pharmacogenetics/pharmacogenomics, comparative pharmacology, safety pharmacology, systems pharmacology, and pharmacoepidemiology.
The manuscript must not be published and is not currently submitted elsewhere. The originality, significance, quality and validity of the work, the clarity of presentation, and the relevance to the journal scope will be considered for acceptance. Any manuscripts outside our journal scope will be returned to the author without full peer review.
Publication Ethics
Before preparing and proceeding with your manuscript submission, please review the Publication Ethics for Authors. The corresponding author must confirm all co-authors of these statements and the acceptance is on their behalf.
Language
We accept articles written in English only.
Submission
Manuscripts must comply with the instruction in Manuscript Preparation and be submitted online at Submit an Article. The Submission Statement form must be completed and submitted with the manuscript.
Peer-Review Process
All submitted manuscripts are first evaluated by the Editor-in-Chief or Associated editor to assure their originality, scientific validity, relevance, significance, language, and adherence to the Instructions for Authors. Appropriate manuscipts are then sent to at least two expert reviewers under a double-blind peer review process. The reviewers submit their recommendation for decision and comments to the editor. The editor communicates with the corresponding author and makes the final decision (Accept submission, Revision required, Resubmit for review, or Decline submission). The overall process typically takes about 90 days.
Reprints
Upon publication, the corresponding author will receive an electronic file (in PDF format) of the paper. We no longer provide hardcopy reprints.
Open Access Policy
All articles published in this journal are open access and freely available online, immediately upon publication. There is no page charge or article processing fee for submission and publication in this journal.
Copyright
Upon acceptance of an article, the Pharmacological and Therapeutic Society of Thailand will have exclusive right to publish and distribute the article in all forms and media and grant rights to others. Authors have rights to use and share their own published articles.
