ปฏิสัมพันธ์ระหว่างการมีโรคประจำตัวและความเพียงพอของรายได้ ที่มีผลต่อการดูแลผู้สูงอายุและความต้องการดูแลสุขภาพของผู้สูงอายุ จากองค์กรปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่น ตามความคิดเห็นของผู้สูงอายุที่ติดบ้าน จังหวัดตรัง

การวิจัยเชิงพรรณนานี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาการดูแลผู้สูงอายุและความต้องการการดูแลสุขภาพของผู้สูงอายุจากองค์กรปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่น และปฏิสัมพันธ์ระหว่างการมีโรคประจำตัวและความเพียงพอของรายได้ที่มีผลต่อการดูแลผู้สูงอายุและความต้องการการดูแลสุขภาพของผู้สูงอายุจากองค์กรปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่น ตามความคิดเห็นของผู้สูงอายุติดบ้าน ในจังหวัดตรัง จำนวน 727 คน วิธีสุ่มแบบหลายขั้นตอน เครื่องมือที่ใช้เป็นแบบสอบถาม ได้ค่าสัมประสิทธิ์แอลฟ่าของครอนบาค เท่ากับ .97 และ .89 วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยสถิติค่าความถี่ ค่าร้อยละ และการวิเคราะห์ความแปรปรวนพหุคูณสองทาง (Two-way MANOVA) ผลการศึกษาพบว่า การดูแลผู้สูงอายุที่ติดบ้านในจังหวัดตรัง จากองค์กรปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่นภาพรวมอยู่ในระดับปานกลาง (= 1.90, S.D.=0.79) ความต้องการการดูแล สุขภาพของผู้สูงอายุจากองค์กรปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่น ภาพรวมอยู่ในระดับมาก (= 2.28, S.D.=0.63) สำหรับปฏิสัมพันธ์ระหว่างการมีโรคประจำตัวและความเพียงพอของรายได้ที่ต่างกันมีผลต่อการดูแลผู้สูงอายุและความต้องการการดูแลสุขภาพของผู้สูงอายุจากองค์กรปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่น อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 และ .001 ตามลำดับ
องค์กรปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่นควรส่งเสริมให้ผู้สูงอายุที่ติดบ้านรู้จักการออม การสร้างรายได้และเตรียมความพร้อมก่อนเข้าสู่วัยผู้สูงอายุ ตลอดจนควรส่งเสริมให้ผู้สูงอายุมีรอบรู้ทางสุขภาพ โดยเฉพาะการลดความเสี่ยงต่อการเกิดโรคภัยไข้เจ็บ การมาใช้จ่ายเพื่อรักษาสุขภาพให้กับตัวเอง
