การฟื้นฟูสภาพช่องปากภายใต้การดมยาสลบในเด็กปากแหว่งเพดานโหว่ : รายงานผู้ป่วย

ภาวะปากแหว่งเพดานโหว่เป็นความพิการบนใบหน้าตั้งแต่กำเนิด มีรอยแยกของริมฝีปากบนอาจเป็นไปจนถึงเหงือกและเพดานปาก ทำให้มีปัญหาในการพูด การได้ยิน สุขภาพจิตและสุขภาพช่องปาก เด็กกลุ่มนี้จะมีความกลัวในการทำฟัน เนื่องจากได้รับการรักษาทางด้านศัลยกรรมตั้งแต่แรกเกิด การจัดการกลุ่มผู้ป่วยเด็กที่มีพฤติกรรมไม่ให้ความร่วมมือในการรักษา จำเป็นต้องได้รับการรักษาภายใต้การดมยาสลบ (General anesthesia) บทความนี้รายงานผู้ป่วยเด็กหญิงไทย อายุ 2 ปี 3 เดือน มีภาวะปากแหว่งเพดานโหว่แต่กำเนิด จากการตรวจในช่องปากพบมีสุขอนามัยช่องปากไม่ดี ฟันน้ำนมผุหลายซี่ ร่วมกับมีพฤติกรรมปฏิเสธการรักษา โดยผู้ป่วยรายนี้ได้รับการรักษาด้วยการฟื้นฟูสภาพช่องปาก ภายใต้การดมยาสลบ ติดตามผลหลังการรักษาพบว่าได้ผลเป็นที่น่าพึงพอใจ
