การพัฒนาศักยภาพผู้ดูแลในการคัดกรองภาวะสมองเสื่อมผู้สูงอายุในชุมชน โดยเครื่องมือ IQCODE

การวิจัยครั้งนี้เป็นการวิจัยและพัฒนาเพื่อศึกษากระบวนการพัฒนาศักยภาพผู้ดูแลในการคัดกรองภาวะสมองเสื่อมผู้สูงอายุในชุมชน กลุ่มเป้าหมาย ได้แก่ ผู้ดูแลในชุมชน จำนวน 63 คน และ ผู้สูงอายุในชุมชน จำนวน 1,756 คน วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลเชิงพรรณนาด้วย จำนวน ร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย และ ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และวิเคราะห์เปรียบเทียบด้วยสถิติ Paired t-test, Chi-square test และ ค่า 95 % CI
ผลการศึกษาพบว่า 1) ผู้ดูแลในชุมชน ร้อยละ 96.83 เป็นเพศหญิง มีอายุเฉลี่ย 50 ปี ร้อยละ 58.72 จบการศึกษาระดับมัธยมศึกษา/ปวช.ขึ้นไป และร้อยละ 10 ไม่มีประสบการณ์ดูแลผู้สูงอายุ
2) กระบวนการพัฒนาศักยภาพผู้ดูแลในการคัดกรองภาวะสมองเสื่อมผู้สูงอายุในชุมชน ประกอบด้วยการคัดเลือกเครื่องมือคัดกรองภาวะสมองเสื่อมของผู้สูงอายุสำหรับผู้ดูแลในชุมชน พัฒนาหลักสูตรศักยภาพการคัดกรองภาวะสมองเสื่อมสำหรับผู้ดูแลในชุมชน และ อบรมพัฒนาศักยภาพผู้ดูแลในการคัดกรองภาวะสมองเสื่อมของผู้สูงอายุในชุมชน และ 3) ผลลัพธ์การพัฒนาศักยภาพผู้ดูแลเพื่อคัดกรองภาวะสมองเสื่อมผู้สูงอายุในชุมชนด้วยเครื่องมือ IQCODE พบว่าระดับความรู้ของผู้ดูแลหลังการอบรมสูงขึ้นกว่าก่อนการอบรมอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ (p < 0.01) ส่วนด้านทัศนคติของผู้ดูแลพบว่าระดับทัศนคติเชิงลบหลังการอบรมลดลงกว่าก่อนการอบรมอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ (p < 0.01) อย่างไรก็ตามระดับทัศนคติเชิงบวกของผู้ดูแลก่อนและหลังการอบรมไม่มีความแตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญ และ 4) ผลการคัดกรองภาวะสมองเสื่อมของผู้สูงอายุในชุมชนด้วยเครื่องมือ IQCODE โดยผู้ดูแลพบความชุกความเสี่ยงต่อภาวะสมองเสื่อม ร้อยละ 6.44 (95 % CI 5.4 – 7.7)
ภาวะสมองเสื่อมเป็นปัญหาที่สำคัญของผู้สูงอายุ การพัฒนาศักยภาพผู้ดูแลเพื่อคัดกรองภาวะสมองเสื่อมของผู้สูงอายุในชุมชนด้วยเครื่องมือที่มีคุณภาพและสอดคล้องกับบริบทเชิงพื้นที่ เป็นจุดเริ่มต้นที่สำคัญของการเข้าถึงระบบบริการดูแลสุขภาพของผู้สูงอายุสมองเสื่อม
