บทคัดย่อ
กะลามะพร้าวเป็นวัสดุธรรมชาติที่มีความแข็งแรง น้ำหนักเบา และสามารถจัดหาได้ง่ายในท้องถิ่น จึงถูกนำมาใช้ประโยชน์ในรูปแบบของเครื่องใช้และงานหัตถกรรมมาอย่างต่อเนื่อง อย่างไรก็ตาม จากการสำรวจชุมชนเทศบาลตำบลตะเคียนเตี้ย อำเภอบางละมุง จังหวัดชลบุรี พบว่า มีกะลามะพร้าวเหลือทิ้งเป็นจำนวนมาก ซึ่งก่อให้เกิดปัญหาด้านสิ่งแวดล้อม เช่น การเป็นแหล่งสะสมของน้ำที่เอื้อต่อการแพร่พันธุ์ยุง และการกำจัดด้วยการเผาที่ส่งผลให้เกิดมลพิษทางอากาศ งานวิจัยนี้จึงมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อเพิ่มมูลค่าวัสดุเหลือใช้จากกะลามะพร้าวด้วยการออกแบบผลิตภัณฑ์ภาชนะบรรจุอาหาร โดยมุ่งศึกษาและวิเคราะห์ลักษณะทางกายภาพของกะลามะพร้าวเพื่อนำมาเป็นแนวทางในการออกแบบผลิตภัณฑ์ และประเมินความพึงพอใจด้านรูปแบบของผลิตภัณฑ์ กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการวิจัย ได้แก่ นักท่องเที่ยวที่มาเยี่ยมชมชุมชนเทศบาลตำบลตะเคียนเตี้ย เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลประกอบด้วย แบบสัมภาษณ์ และแบบประเมินความพึงพอใจด้านรูปแบบผลิตภัณฑ์ วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลด้วยสถิติเชิงพรรณนา ผลการวิจัยพบว่า ผลิตภัณฑ์ภาชนะบรรจุอาหารจากกะลามะพร้าวที่ออกแบบมีลักษณะเป็นภาชนะหลายชั้น ประกอบด้วยฐานและโครงสร้างรองรับจากไม้เนื้อแข็ง และภาชนะใส่อาหารจากกะลามะพร้าวจำนวน 3 ชั้น เชื่อมต่อกันด้วยโครงสร้างที่มีความมั่นคง แข็งแรง และสะดวกต่อการใช้งาน พร้อมทั้งมีการตกแต่งด้วยวัสดุธรรมชาติที่แสดงถึงอัตลักษณ์ท้องถิ่น ส่วนผลการประเมินความพึงพอใจด้านรูปแบบผลิตภัณฑ์อยู่ในระดับดีมาก แสดงให้เห็นว่าผลิตภัณฑ์ที่พัฒนาขึ้นมีความเหมาะสมทั้งด้านการใช้งาน ความสวยงาม และการส่งเสริมการใช้ทรัพยากรอย่างคุ้มค่าและยั่งยืนในระดับชุมชน
