อิทธิพลของความเร็วในการเลื่อนและแรงกดที่ใช้ต่อสมบัติทางไตรโบโลยี ของพอลิเอทิลีนน้ำหนักโมเลกุลสูงยิ่งยวด

บทคัดย่อ

กระบวนการกัดปาดผิวสำเร็จด้วยเครื่องกัดซีเอ็นซีถูกนำมาใช้อย่างแพร่หลายในการผลิตชิ้นส่วนของเครื่องจักรสำหรับอุตสาหกรรมการแปรรูปอาหาร เนื่องจากมีประสิทธิภาพสูง ต้นทุนต่ำ และสามารถผลิตชิ้นงานที่มีรูปทรงซับซ้อน     ได้อย่างแม่นยำ งานวิจัยนี้ศึกษาผลกระทบของความเร็วในการเลื่อนและแรงกดที่ใช้ต่อสมบัติไตรโบโลยีของพอลิเอทิลีนน้ำหนักโมเลกุลสูงยิ่งยวด เกรด U511 โดยเตรียมตัวอย่าง UHMWPE ด้วยการอัดขึ้นรูป และดำเนินการกัดปาดผิวสำเร็จ             ด้วยเครื่องกัดซีเอ็นซี จากนั้นทำการทดสอบการสึกหรอแบบบล็อกออนริ่งภายใต้สภาวะแบบแห้ง โดยควบคุมความเร็วในการเลื่อนและแรงกดที่ใช้ในการทดสอบ ทั้งนี้ ได้ทำการวัดอุณหภูมิของตัวอย่าง ค่าสัมประสิทธิ์แรงเสียดทาน และอัตราการสึกหรอ ผลการศึกษาพบว่า ค่าสัมประสิทธิ์แรงเสียดทานและอัตราการสึกหรอเพิ่มขึ้นตามภาระโหลดที่สูงขึ้น โดยมีค่าสัมประสิทธิ์แรงเสียดทานอยู่ในช่วง 0.010 ถึง 0.058 ขณะที่อัตราการสึกหรอแปรผันระหว่าง 3.615x10-10 ถึง 9.156 x10-10 mm3/Nm การเพิ่มความเร็วในการเลื่อนและภาระโหลดแรงกดทำให้เกิดความร้อนสะสมบริเวณผิวสัมผัสจากการเสียดทาน ส่งผลให้อุณหภูมิพื้นผิวของชิ้นทดสอบเพิ่มขึ้นจาก 25 องศาเซลเชียส และมีค่าสูงสุด 55 องศาเซลเชียส หลังจากเลื่อนไป 2000 เมตร อุณหภูมิที่สูงขึ้นทำให้วัสดุเกิดการอ่อนตัวลง เนื่องจากความร้อนและส่งเสริมการสึกหรอแบบยึดติด นอกจากนี้ สภาพพื้นผิวที่มีความหยาบมากขึ้นยังส่งผลให้เกิดการสึกหรอในระยะเริ่มต้นสูงขึ้น อย่างไรก็ตามการก่อตัวของชั้นถ่ายโอนผิวสัมผัสมีแนวโน้มช่วยให้พฤติกรรมการสึกหรอมีเสถียรภาพมากขึ้นเมื่อระยะเวลาการทดสอบเพิ่มขึ้น
