Abstract

The result of the early growth of Acacia auriculiformis progeny trials planted at three different sites: Sai Thong Experimental Station, Prachuap Kiri Khan Province; Sakaerat Gene Conservation Station, Nakorn Ratchasima Province and Lumpao-Lamsai Experimental Station, Kanchanaburi Province; were presented. The progeny trials of all sites were comprised of 40 local families and 60 families from Australia and Papua New Guinea. The result showed that families from Australia and Papua New Guinea had better growth than the local families. The average growth of A. auriculiformis at Sakaerat Gene Conservation Station was highest among three sites. The trees planted in Sai Thong Experimental Station showed the best in bole length among the three sites. However, the families from Queensland showed the best stem from compared to other sources in all sites in this experiment.
