Abstract
Polymer science and the technology are making it possible to create new man-made materials for numerous human applications. The importance of plastics becomes evident when we examine various objects around us. In the field of pharmacy, plastic containers have now surpassed glass containers for drug products in volume and most of the tubings used in the administration of parenteral medications are prepared from a plastic. There are many factors which should be considered when a polymeric material is to be used for pharmaceutical or medical application. Three important problems which require special consideration include permeation, leaching and sorption. More detail information was presented in this article.
