Abstract

A field experiment was conducted at the Charoen Pokphand Seeds Company farm, Kumphaeng Phet to determine the influence of nitrogen sources and methods of nitrogen application on dry matter yield and quality of CP-Pangola. The experimental design was a split plot in RCB with three replications. Main plot comprised of two sources of nitrogen fertilizer (urea and ammonium sulphate). The sub-plot consisted of four different nitrogen rates with two different methods of application. The results showed little effect of sources of nitrogen on dry matter yield. Crude protein was higher in ammonium sulphate treatments than in urea treatments. Split applications of nitrogen fertilizer gave better yields than single application in terms of production and quality.
