Abstract

The effect of EM on the growth and yield of rice, corn and sorghum were studied in field condition at Udonthani Rice Experiment Station, Chainat Field Crop Research Center and Supanburi Field Crop Research Center for corn and sorghum. The experimental design was randomize complete block with 3 treatments; check, EM and N-P-K, and 4 replication. The EM treatment were the application of 5 litters of EM solution per 30 m2 area (EM solution was mixture of EM: molasses: water = 1:1:500 by volume) for corn and sorghum and 2.5 liters/25 m2 of EM for rice treatment. Fertilizer treatment were 5-5-5 kg/rai of N-P2O5 respectively, as basal and 5 kg-N/rai as topdressing for corn and sorghum and 3-4-2 kg/rai of N-P2O5-K2O respectively as basal and 3 kg-N/rai as topdressing for rice. Results showed that the yield of corn, sorghum and rice in EM treatment were the same as check but loneer than N-P-K treatment.
