Abstract

The effect of EM on the growth of VA mycorrhizal fungi was tested in this experiment by conducting in the pot trial. Pear millet (Pennisetum glaucum R.Br.) were grow in the sterile soil and was inoculated by two species of VA mycorhizal fungi. The experiment was employed by Randomized Complete Block Design with 4 replications and 9 treatments, comparing using EM with VA mycorrhizal fungi and no EM. After 6 month, the infected root and number of spores in soil has been examined. The result showed the evidence of the effect of EM on the VA mycorrhizal growth by decreasing amount of spores and percent of root infection.
