Abstract

The corrosion cast technique and latex injection technique were used for comparative anatomical study of kidney. Both techniques gave good detail of the kidney. The casts from corrosion cast technique were very helpful in establishing the complex topography of ureter, renal pelvis and blood vessel. The casts gave detail three dimensional structures of kidney without renal tissue intact. The latex injection technique was an easy technique to show the topography of ureter, renal pelvis, the relation and combination of vessel and renal tissue of the whole kidney. The color of latex can be seen through the wall of blood vessel.
