Abstract

Ectoparasites were collected from 321 adult domestic pigeons, 1-2 years old, from various areas of Bangkok during 1992. Eight genera and species of these ectoparasites were identified and results were as follows : 5 species of biting lice (Colpocephalum spp; Menacanthus spp: Columbicola columbae; Lipeurus caponis; Goniocotes spp.); 2 species of feather mites (Megninia columbae; Pterophagus spp.) and 1 species of fly (Pseudolynchia canariensis).
